About the recordist
Nature Sounds Therapy is a father recording together with his son. We drive out, set the kit, press record and leave it alone — often for a whole night.

Who records
The project is run by a father together with his son. We go to the place, set up the kit, press record and leave it alone. Often the microphone simply stays in the forest overnight and listens.
We do not publish personal details or photos here — what matters is what you can hear on the recording. The rules and licensing are open, and contact details are at the bottom of this page.
Why we do it
My son is autistic, and this project is built around him as much as around the sound. The trips, the hours outdoors, the quiet of a forest at night — they do him good, and they do us good together.
A recording is never just pressing a button. It is packing the car, finding the spot, setting up the tripod and microphones side by side, checking the wind, and then waiting in silence. That shared time — and getting through the ordinary difficulties of a day on the road — is the real heart of every recording you hear here.
We want to show that you can do what you love, even when life makes it harder. Every hour of birdsong or rain on this site is proof of that.
Where we record
Poland: Bieszczady, Karkonosze, Izery, the Masurian Lakes, the Baltic coast and western borderland forests. Also the Slovak Tatras, Czech border hills and German borderlands. Every published recording states its region and date; the weather for that day is documented in the recording metadata.
How we record
Source recordings are one continuous take, often 7 to 12 hours from a single location. If a recording is shorter, that is exactly how long the recorder ran. The only edits we allow ourselves on source takes are removing human speech or passing cars — cut out, never masked or replaced. The black-screen sleep versions are prepared from these real takes.
