Privacy, cookies and use of our recordings

Short version: this site uses no cookies, does not track you and does not send your data to Google or other companies while you browse. Below are the details.

Who runs this site

This site is run by Radosław Morawski — Nature Sounds Therapy. Contact for anything related to privacy or our recordings: nstfieldrec@gmail.com.

Cookies

We do not use cookies — no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no consent banner needed. Your browser's local storage keeps only your own settings on this site (light or dark theme, language, the sleep timer, the sound mixer). This information stays on your device, is never sent to us and you can delete it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly counter. It uses no cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not build profiles. We only see totals: how many visits a page had, from which country and which site linked to us. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which recordings people find useful (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Server logs

Our server automatically records technical data of each request (IP address, time, page address, browser type). We use it only to keep the site secure and working, we do not share it, and it is deleted automatically after 14 days.

Fonts, images and maps

Fonts, scripts and the map library are served from our own server. Video thumbnails, podcast covers and map tiles are fetched through our server as well, so your IP address is not passed to YouTube, Esri or OpenStreetMap while you browse.

YouTube videos

Videos are not loaded until you click play. Only then does your browser connect to YouTube (the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com player), and Google's privacy policy applies to that video. If you don't click, nothing is loaded from YouTube. The podcast players on blog pages work the same way: the episode is streamed from Spotify for Podcasters only after you press play.

Links to other platforms

Links to Patreon, Spotify, YouTube, PayPal and other services take you to their sites. Their own privacy rules apply there.

No accounts, no forms

The site has no registration, no comments and no forms. If you email us, we use your address only to reply and delete the conversation when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO). In practice we hold almost no data about you — write to us if you have any question.

Our recordings — what you can do with them

All recordings, videos, photos and texts on this site are our own work — recorded by us in the field, with no AI and no music added. You are welcome to listen to them, play them and watch them here and on our channels, as often and as long as you like, for free: to sleep, relax, study, at home, at work, in a waiting room or a quiet shop. You may share links to them and embed our YouTube videos using YouTube's own embed. Please do not re-upload, download to redistribute, sell, put into your own videos, apps, playlists of files or products, or use them to train AI models — for that you need a licence (see the licensing page). Bird photos come from Wikimedia Commons; each one belongs to its author and is used under the licence named under the photo.
