Bird Sounds at a Summer Wetland Marsh • Cuckoo and Insects
✅ no AI
Bird sounds recorded at a wetland marsh above a lake on a sunny summer afternoon. A cuckoo, rustling leaves, and insects layered under the main chorus. No wind on the mic, no traffic.
The grass here grows waist-high — the mics disappeared into it completely. We set up a stereo pair hidden behind the trees, started the recorder, then walked the path around the lake and let the marsh do its thing. First time we'd recorded a place like this. I thought it wouldn't work. I was wrong.
The bird chorus is the main event; rustling leaves come and go as the grass shifts, a cuckoo calls in the mid-distance, insects fill the low end.
Gear: Zoom F3 + Rode NT1 pair (left and right channels, hidden behind trees) — waist-high marsh grass, sparse trees, open sky above the lake.
We record real places on real days — no filters, no noise reduction, no AI. Recorded together with my son, who is on the autism spectrum. On a quiet afternoon like this, we both slow down and just listen.
A real single-take outdoor field recording by Nature Sounds Therapy — a father-and-son duo. No music, no narration, no AI.
