Cricket Sounds for Sleeping | Summer Meadow, Steady All Night
Sleep timer — stops the video after:

no music

Cricket sounds for sleeping — steady, unbroken, same density at 2 a.m. as at midnight. Nature sounds from a fog-covered meadow with no music, no cuts, nothing that shifts.

We set up the mics at the edge of a meadow surrounded by forest on all sides, a dead tree rising from the center of the fog. The dead tree stands right in the middle of the meadow — like a warning sign: don't go any further. The tin shed turned out to be a pretty decent spot for a three-night camp. We had the landowner's permission and slept there while the Rode NT1 sat out of frame and the MKE600 pointed straight into the field. No birds at all. Just crickets from every direction, constant, didn't let up once the fog rolled in. • Gear: Zoom F3, Rode NT1, Lumix S5 • Static night shot, Lumix S5

Headphones recommended — the low-end detail gets lost on phone speakers.
