Forest Sounds to Fall Asleep to on a Summer Lake Shore at Dusk
🗓 summer, evening, clear🎙 Lumix S5, Zoom F3, NT1, MKE 600⏱ 2 h 9 min✅ no music, no AI
Forest sounds for sleep that stay even the whole way through, nothing sudden. A summer lake shore at dusk, birds singing in the trees, nature sounds only.
Clear summer evening, the sun already off the water. This was part of a longer hike around three lakes, and this shore was supposed to be a two-minute stop. We came down just to take a look… and we stayed. Not even mosquitoes today. All it needs to be perfect is a fishing rod.
• Gear: Panasonic Lumix S5, Zoom F3, Rode NT1, Sennheiser MKE600 • Format: static shot, mics set next to the camera and aimed at the surrounding forest
Headphones bring out the depth. Worth it on this one.
Q: Is this real or AI-generated? A: Real field recording from a lake shore, made with a Sennheiser MKE600 and a Rode NT1 into a Zoom F3. No music, no AI.
Q: Can I sleep with this on all night? A: It runs a little over two hours, so it'll take you into sleep but it won't cover a full night. Play it as you settle in, or set it to loop if you want more.

Field notes
A lake shore at dusk in summer. A view of gently rippling water and clouds moving across the sky.
Recorded on a hike around three lakes. We only came down to have a look… and stayed. Yes, it's the same trip where a downpour caught us at another lake.
All that's missing is a fishing rod. Not even mosquitoes today.
Microphones next to the camera, the MKE 600 and NT1 aimed at the surrounding forest.
