Rain sounds for sleeping — black screen, 10 hours of rain and distant thunder rolling across a mountain field at night. No visuals, no music, just the storm.

The recording comes from an open field high in the Polish mountains, set up after dark while the first thunder was still far off on the ridges. Two microphones ran side by side in the middle of the field: a Sennheiser MKE600 aimed at the storm to catch the thunder as it moved along the valley, and a Rode NT1 left running as a wider background layer for the rain itself. Both went into a Zoom F3.

What you hear is exactly what the field gave that night. Rain falling on grass and open ground — no roof, no leaves overhead, just water meeting the meadow. Thunder never arrives close; it stays in the distance, low and unhurried, sometimes a long rumble that takes several seconds to fade behind the hills. Between the rolls, the rain settles into an even wash that carries for hours. Near the middle of the session the rain thins for a while and the thunder sounds further away, then the fall picks up again and stays steady until morning.

Real field recording — no music, no AI. Recorded with a Zoom F3, Sennheiser MKE600 and Rode NT1. Screen off, let it run overnight.
