River Sound for Sleeping | Steady Karkonosze Mountain River
📍 Karkonosze🗓 summer, clear🎙 Lumix S5, Zoom F3, NT1, MKE 600⏱ 5 h✅ no music, no AI
River sounds for sleeping: nature sounds held at one level, nothing that jumps out and wakes you. Five hours of daytime water sounds, clear summer conditions.
When the water is low you can wade for hours — it's freezing, but you don't stop. After rain you can't cross anymore. You have to walk to a bridge, and sometimes that's a few kilometers. Four days there, camp right on the bank: tents, hammocks, a fire pit. Boulders and spruce.
• Gear: Panasonic Lumix S5, Zoom F3, Rode NT1, Sennheiser MKE600 • Format: one static shot, MKE600 aimed at the water, NT1 behind it as background mic, both next to the camera
Recorded together with my autistic son. The place is already familiar to us, which makes it easier.
Real field recording, no music, no AI. Lossless files are on Patreon if you want them for offline listening.
Q: Is this real or AI-generated? A: Real field recording from a river in the Karkonosze, made with a Sennheiser MKE600 and a Zoom F3. No music, no AI.
Q: Can I sleep with this on all night? A: The file runs about five hours, so it won't cover a whole night, but it stays even the whole way through and works to fall asleep to.
Field notes
A river in the Karkonosze mountains, winding between rocks and spruce forest. Summer, this time four days by the same river — something here keeps bringing us back.
Camp set up on the bank: tents, hammocks, a fire spot. Recorded together with my son; we know this place well now, so it's easier.
Low water lets you wade for hours in the ice-cold river. After rain we can't cross any more — you have to walk to a bridge, sometimes a few kilometres.
We're lying in the hammock and listening. Rest with us.
