Sea Waves for Sleep • Frozen Icy Beach, Baltic Winter

Sounds of nature recorded on a completely frozen beach in winter, midday. Waves pushing in against a shoreline locked in ice — no wind on the mic, no other voices.

The whole beach was one solid crust. The plan was to walk down to the water's edge, but you couldn't take a straight path anywhere — everything was frozen solid. I ended up filming from a distance instead. Static shot, didn't move the camera once. Only crazy people go out in conditions like this — in winter, only a few brave souls venture to the sea, and you can't even drive a car on days like that. My son stayed in the hotel this time. Good thing.
