Small Stream Between Rocks River Sound for Sleeping • Black Screen

Want River Sound for sleeping on a black screen? A small stream runs between rocks and spruces in a summer spruce forest. Steady water sounds to fall asleep to, with no music and nothing added.

This was a planned trip to one of our favourite places. Oh yes!!! Back in this place again. While hiking we could hear the stream from far away, so all we had to do was follow the sound and find it.

Dragonflies fly along the stream every now and then. Our little one calls them helicopters. I wonder why? :-) The dragonflies are probably hunting over the water. Meanwhile we watch them and listen to the stream, and with no hunting at all we take out our sandwiches and a thermos of tea.

We rest for a moment and then go to explore the area nearby and further out. We leave the microphones running by the water. I recorded on a Zoom F3 with a Sennheiser MKE 600 and a RØDE NT1, placed right next to the stream between the rocks. What you hear is the small stream itself, about five hours of it. The picture is a single static black frame for the whole file.

Q: Is this real or AI-generated? A: Real field recording from a small stream in a spruce forest, Zoom F3, Sennheiser MKE 600 and RØDE NT1 — no music, no AI.

Q: Is this good for falling asleep? A: Yes. The stream stays steady and even, and the file runs for about five hours, which is plenty of time to settle in and drift off.
