Summer Meadow Bird Sounds • Sunny Afternoon, No Wind
Sleep timer — stops the video after:

no AI

Bird sounds from a forest-edged meadow, recorded on a sunny summer afternoon. Cuckoo calls, rustling leaves, insects — no wind on the mic, no traffic, nothing human-made.

The meadow opens up where the treeline pulls back on all sides — full sun on the grass, forest close enough that you can hear the edge. We found this place by chance on a weekend trip. Someone clearly tends it; it's kept but not manicured. We stayed to record the pure, unfiltered sound of the ecosystem.

Bird song carries the whole session, a cuckoo comes through a few times, insects layer underneath. The questions my son asked that afternoon never ended. Fewer and fewer places like this still exist.

Gear: GoPro 10, Rode NT1, Zoom F3 (mic positioned behind the camera).

A father-son project. We record real places on real days — no filters, no noise reduction, no AI. Recorded together with my son, who is on the autism spectrum.
