Nature Sounds for sleeping, black screen — 12 hours of a wild river recorded in the Bieszczady mountains, with nothing to watch while you settle in. The picture stays dark from the first second, so only the water sound is left.

This is a summer session on a river you can walk the banks of in July, stepping from stone to stone in ankle-deep water. After heavy rain it turns into something else entirely — brown, loud, shoving gravel downstream. I camped beside it for three days and didn't see another person the whole time, which is why the recording is so clean: no voices, no roads, no dogs, just moving water and the quiet space around it.

What you hear is the steady rush over shallow rock, deeper pulses where the current drops into a pool, and a soft high hiss from the fastest seams. The level stays even, so it works as running water sounds to fall asleep to rather than something that pulls you back awake.

Recorded with a Panasonic Lumix S5, Zoom F3, Rode NT1 and Sennheiser MKE 600. Real field recording — no music, no AI.

Q: Is this real or AI-generated? A: Real field recording from the Bieszczady mountains, captured with a Panasonic Lumix S5, Zoom F3, Rode NT1 and Sennheiser MKE 600 — no music, no AI.

Q: Can I sleep with this on all night? A: There are 12 hours of river here, so it keeps running long after you've fallen asleep. Set your volume low before you close your eyes and leave the screen dark.
