River Sounds for Sleep • Evening Waves on the Havel, Berlin

Soft waves lap the Havel shoreline as the sun goes down near Berlin, birdsong carrying from the riverside forest — river sounds to drift off to.

Low splashes form an uneven, natural rhythm where the water meets the bank; the evening birds settle as the light fades, a woodpecker tapping now and then from the trees along the shore. It was a beautiful sunset — we stayed, lit a fire by the water, and slept on the bank. No music, no voices, just the river at dusk.
