What does listening to birdsong do?
Listening to birdsong helps you calm down and improves mood for many people, but it is not treatment, and studies do not prove that birds "cure" stress.

Birdsong in an Early Spring Forest • Peaceful Woodland Morning
Why it may work: birdsong is gentle and irregular, and its content means nothing to you, so the mind does not have to do anything. It is also linked with morning and calm, because birds usually sing when there is no danger nearby. This is a common explanation, not proof.
A few observational studies link hearing birds with better mood and less stress, but results differ between people and do not replace treatment. If you feel down or anxious for a long time, talk to a doctor.
In practice: for work, put on a quiet recording in the background, and for winding down in the evening choose calm singing without sudden, loud voices. The morning chorus can be too lively for sleep. Our birdsong recordings are real, in one take, with no music and no AI; three of them are below.
Quick questions
Does birdsong help you fall asleep?
For some people it does, especially calm evening singing. If sudden voices wake you, choose rain or a river instead.
Is a real recording better than a generated one?
A real recording has no looped section, so nothing "grates" after a few minutes. Ours are in one take.
